On Purpose Placements
Saskia worked as CSR Enterprise senior manager, reporting to the Head of CSR. The CSR department has several initiatives that relate to encouraging SMEs to do business more responsibly, and Santander UK has also developed an award scheme investing £2.4m annually in growing social enterprises. Saskia built support both internally and externally for both of these initiatives and in particular played an instrumental role in the transition of the Social Enterprise Award Scheme (SEDA) from pilot stage to the national launch, resulting in positive media coverage and over 350 entries.
NHS East London
At the NHS Saskia worked as an analyst in the Delivery Improvement Unit, an internal consulting unit that takes on a variety of developmental projects. Initially she defined the medicines management services that the new CSU organisation would offer and the associated resources required to deliver them. She then investigated Emergency Department activity and performance at two hospitals, working with contracting, clinical and operational leads to develop an improvement plan.
