Following internships at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and the International Bar Association, Jon trained and qualified as a solicitor at Allen & Overy LLP. In recent years, he has worked as an associate within the pensions team at Norton Rose LLP. Jon has volunteering experience in India (education) and Fiji (marine conservation) and has worked in Italy and Slovakia. Jon studied History at Warwick University.
On Purpose Placements
Jon developed a values framework producing recommendations on how to embed these values throughout the workforce (in particular those working at the depots). He met with a wide range of stakeholders, employees and passengers producing several internal films exploring the values and motivations of both the company and those that work there. He also supported the setting up of a new operation in Guernsey and contributed to HCT’s social impact report.
As a member of the Co-innovation team, Jon has been working on Interface and the Zoological Society of London’s project to tackle the growing environmental problem of discarded fishing nets in some of the world’s poorest coastal communities. In addition, Jon helped facilitate an internal innovation challenge and a company-wide test of a social business software solution.
