NHS East London
NHS East London & the City Commissioning Support Service (CSS) form part of a newly established cluster of organisations that have come together to deliver tailored services to Clinical Commissioning Groups. Working in the Delivery Improvement Unit, who act as in-house consultants, Chris led the standardisation process for the Finance and Activity Report. This improved report allowed the CSS to test feasibility internally (across 7 London Boroughs) and to gauge customer satisfaction
Reporting to the CEO, Chris worked in conjunction with the programmes, fundraising and finance teams to assess various approaches to income generation through new business models. He completed a business plan detailing recommendations for implementation in 2013 that would enable Progressio to empower more people living in poverty in fragile states, via the more flexible delivery of their “Development worker” model. In the longer term, increased financial sustainability and independence from traditional funding will enable the business to have clearer strategic control and an opportunity to expand key Programmes in developing countries.
