At On Purpose, we recruit talented professionals to help scale organisations that are using (or exploring the possibility of using) commercial models to create positive social and environmental impact.
Our leadership programme helps these high calibre professionals transition to working in social enterprise by providing them with hands on work experience, tailored training sessions (akin to a social enterprise ‘mini-MBA’) as well as mentoring and coaching. Being a placement host means two of our participants (Associates) working with you for six months each over a year, as part of an existing team, or on one or more specific projects.
Placement organisations send us overwhelmingly positive feedback on working with our Associates; over the course of the year they work with bright, experienced and motivated people for far less than what it would cost to recruit them normally. Working with On Purpose Associates can be a highly effective way of staffing projects or teams.
We currently run two programmes per year, one which starts in April, the other in October, and we are always interested to hear from organisations who can provide an exciting and challenging placement for our Associates. If you’d like to find out more information about hosting an On Purpose placement, please get in touch with our Marketing & Communications Manager, Alex Watson (email@example.com).

Top 3 reasons to host a placement:
1The quality of the Associates – becoming an On Purpose Associate is tough, we have hundreds of applications and a stringent recruitment process
2You don’t just get an employee – they come with a hugely valuable support structure: weekly training sessions (some of which you gain access to), executive coaching, & very practical fortnightly mentoring
3You become part of a powerful network – many of our placement hosts have used this to develop business relationships or simply exchange ideas and expertise
How much will it cost us?
Why should I not just recruit someone as usual?
What do the Associates normally do?
We are a charity/commercial business/public sector organisation. Can we still be a placement host?
I need someone with a particular skill set, can you guarantee that?
